ICRPS Summer Institute 2004-2011 Participants Survey Report

Project Team: Maria Figueroa-Armijos, Thomas G. Johnson, Judith I. Stallmann

The goal of this survey was to improve our understanding of the impact of the past eight ICRPS summer institutes (2004-2011) on the careers of participants. The instrument consisted of 13 closed and open-ended questions (see Appendix), and was sent to 210 faculty members and alumni (students and mid-career professionals) using Qualtrics software. A total of 102 complete responses were received (23 from faculty members and 79 from alumni -67 students and 12 midcareer professionals), a 49 percent response rate. In the remainder of this report, the percentages refer to
the respondents’ answers only, not to all faculty and students who have participated in the summer institutes.
