The 2017 UNESCO Creative Cities of Crafts & Folk Art Annual Meeting will be held in Paducah, Kentucky from September 24-27, 2017. Chuck Fluharty will be speaking at the event on Wednesday, September 27th as a panelist.
Each day of the meeting will begin with a plenary session featuring expert speakers . This will be followed by a Creative Field workshop, luncheon speaker and study tours focused on the daily theme through which members of the Crafts & Folk Art sub-network will engage in dialogue and share best practices. The agenda has been developed with view of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals the Mayors’ Ostersund Declaration.
“A highlight of the Meeting [in Ostersund] was the Mayors’ Meeting gathering 22 local authorities and enabling the sharing of diverse approaches and practical experiences from different regions around the world aimed at harnessing creativity for social, economic and environmental development and reinforcing support for the Network at the political level.”
