New Updates to the State Demographic and Economic Profile Series

The updated profiles include the most recent classifications of core based statistical areas (2007), population trends and racial and ethnic composition of the population, updated estimates of county poverty rates, county unemployment rates, and per capita income data. Each report also includes some new indicators of entrepreneurship, classifications of health professional shortage areas, and infant mortality rates.

October 10, 2008, profiles for five states are released:

Missouri
Indiana
Iowa
Maine
