Partners for Rural America has been commissioned by USDA Rural Development ho conduct four regional summits on Rural Innovation. The first will be held in the Northeast, April 12-13.
The theme for the Northeast Rural Summit is "Generating Rural Innovation and Regional Partnership." The summit is designed to share strategies and build partnerships throughout the 11 state region.
Brian Dabson will keynote the event on April 12. The summit will focus on four major areas:
- Food Systems: Local Foods Development and Regional Foods Systems
- Energy: Advancing Efficiency, Generation and Fuel Development
- Broadband: Global Opportunities & Rural Lifestyles
- Rural Economic Development: Investment in Innovation
